Micro Pen Treatment

Advanced skin needling technology uses multiple needles that vertically pierce the skin with an automatic vibrating function. When moved across the skin’s surface it stimulates natural collagen reproduction, whilst allowing fine channels to be created in the skin.
These channels can carry up to 80% more topical nutrients, allowing for treatment delivery deep into the skin’s fibroplasts to feed the underlying cells found in the dermis and basal layer. This increased absorption of active ingredients into the skin creates stimulated repair and faster resurfacing results.

What are the benefits of Microneedling?
In contrast to similar treatments using laser or roller technology, the Microneedling promotes scar-less healing and the deposition of normal woven collagen, without the side effects or downtime of the former.
Compared to rollers, Microneedling causes less trauma and minimal epidermis (skin) damage, reducing pain and discomfort and making the treatment more comfortable and effective.
The disposable needles eliminate risk of cross-contamination, whilst adjustable needle depths allow for a treatment tailored to individual needs.
Microneedling is also more effective than most microdermabrasion and chemical peels.
Suitable for the most delicate areas, such as around the eyes, lips and nose.

Is a Microneedling treatment safe?
Yes. Microneedling causes less trauma and minimal epidermis (skin) damage, disposable needles eliminate risk of cross-contamination and it is so advanced it’s even suitable for the most delicate areas, such as around the eyes, lips and nose.
How many treatments are recommended for rejuvenation and stretch marks?
Rejuvenation: 4 – 6 treatments • 4 weeks apart
Acne Scarring: 6 treatments • 6 weeks apart
Stretch Marks: <> 10 treatments • 4 – 6 weeks apart

How long before I see results?
Typically, you will see results after the first treatment.
Lasting and more significant results will occur after 4 – 6 treatments (spaced 4 – 6 weeks apart). Your skin will continue to improve over the next 6 – 12 months, after a course of treatments and when combined with the recommended post treatment care.

Does it hurt?
Minimum needle depth Microneedling treatments are painless. For treatments over 0.5mm deep, a topical anaesthesia cream is applied before treatment to give a painless treatment.

When should you not have this treatment?
We recommend that if you have had a Dermal Filler treatment, that you leave at least 4 days before a Microneedling appointment. Alternatively have your Microneedling treatment 1 – 2 days before the Dermal Filler.

AFTER CARE
Generally there is no downtime with a Microneedling treatment but you may experience some facial redness for 12 – 48 hours after treatment. Most people return to their daily activities immediately after treatment. Application of breathable camouflage will seal the skin and cover any redness for an immediate return to work.
